Hi, I’m Aba - founder of Akiba Fragrance and Wellness Studio.

I’m a fragrance enthusiast who loves perfume, beauty, and thoughtfully crafted things.

But I’m also a sense of smell disorder survivor - and that experience changed everything.

In 2017, I lost my sense of smell for three months. When it came back, it didn’t return the same.

For the next three years, I lived with parosmia - a distorted sense of smell that made everyday scents unbearable.

Coffee smelled weird. My favorite perfumes turned into pungent, chemical fumes. And life felt joyless.

Before all of this, I made scented bodycare and home fragrance for women who wanted to indulge and treat themselves.

But after my experience, I knew there was a need for something more. Something different.

Today, I create not just for fragrance lovers - but for the thousands of women living with fragrance sensitivity or smell disorders, who need a shot of hope, comfort, and joy.

I believe it's possible to live beautifully and joyfully — even when your sense of smell isn't what it used to be.

And if that’s your reality, I’m here to walk that journey with you.
